CNC parts, Video, TF2 lanparty, ROV

ROV (underwater remote operated vehicle) project is underway. Check out the mailing list for more information.

CNC routing mill parts have arrived. The 60" axis and 35" axis parts should be ready to be built out.

Vex is working on the laser engraver controller.

There is talk of a TF2 lan party. Ping Mark G if interested!

New video recording system parts are mostly in. Still waiting on a few connectors and the final cameras. Will be programming the AMX for it this weekend.

Skillcrane is rocking (www.rocktheskillcrane.com.) It did close to 1000 plays yesterday.

  1. Team Fortress 2 is only $20 via Steam – http://store.steampowered.com/app/440/
and sometimes goes on sale for half that price (like, every other month or so).

Even at $20, it is well worth it — hundreds of hours of gameplay. What I like about TF2 the most, is that it’s not as serious as say, Counter-Strike. The game is very comical, yet can still be quite competitive.

Saturday, November 20th is a potential date. If so, we’re looking at an all-day affair: setup in the early morning (but not too early), play all day into the night. Maybe break-out the grill again mid-afternoon.

If y’all have any ideas to contribute for this event, please speak up!

  2. This stuff looks awesome. Are you guys still looking for members?

  3. You can get some CNC parts made fairly cheap in China. This company for example: http://www.pa-international.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=130&Itemid=174
