The city has been pretty awful about parking in general. I've worked at
Generic Theater now for upwards of 3 years and we're a nonprofit theater
with a completely volunteer staff. Putting up shows requires a lot of
transportation to our main doors in the parking garage and asking
volunteers to fork over $5 every time they come in to help us put up shows
has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I wrote a letter to the governor's
office concerning the parking issue and how it affects the morale and thus
the success of small nonprofits in the area. The gov's office said it's a
regional issue which if I were staying in the area I would pursue further
with the local office. Sincerest wishes on the finding of a new space, the
labs are worth the trouble.
