But seriously, you chose what gets synchronized. I see options to sync:

- Contacts
- Gmail
- Google Play Music
- Instant Upload
- Picasa Web Albums
- Google+
- Calendar

You could disable any and all of them. If you get an Android phone
that isn't crippled you can build your own ROM that even has none of
the Google services. It's quite flexible.
