Oh yeah, they make killer CNC machines. I was just wondering if it was a
"learn to use" sort of camp, a "lets all make something cool" sort of camp,
or maybe a "sit around the exhaust while someone cooks off some plastic and
tell maker stories" kind of camp. ;)
I've wanted to learn to use one for a long time. CNC (and other forms of 3d
making) has been a fascination of mine ever since I got to drive one of
those huge machines that cut with water when I was (much) younger. I dunno
what kind of machine it was, but they loaded a sheet of metal into it that
was at least an inch thick and easily 20x6', and it promptly turned it into
something cool. Well, I don't know what it was making, but there was
whirring, and water spraying, and things zinging left and right, and *I* got
to press the start button.

Pardon my ignorance, but what happens at Shopbot Camp? (I couldn't find a
