The organizers of Art | Everywhere are offering four $500 grants to the 
individuals or groups with the best ideas for making Closing Night one that the 
people of Hampton Roads will not soon forget. Let us share in your genius, 
creativity, passion, joie de vivre, and general greatness. Here’s the deal:
Ideas due: 5/31
Winners notified: 6/1
Closing night: 7/2, 6pm to 10pm
On your marks get set go.
Fine print: Normal laws of Norfolk and America and morality still apply; We are 
not paying for the idea, but for your execution of the idea; money cannot be 
used on alcohol; closing off the streets costs more than $500 so that’s probably 
not an option; performance is encouraged, as are interactive activities; 
creativity of the highest degree will be looked upon favorably; if you need an 
inside space we might be able to pull that off; if your idea is sooooo good 
looking, we might be persuaded to give you two (yes, two!) $500 grants; don’t 
just tell us your idea, but give us some reason to believe you can pull it off 
(like your experience doing this kind of thing).
