A 4GB notebook drive probably does not have much life left in it. It
should be migrated to a new disk (pata 2.5" are still available) or
mount /var as NFS and use mysqld on another machine.
Trixbox ui & processing is based on FreePBX. This is nice but my
feedback about this is that I do not like the trixbox product, their
development method or its bugfix/feature latency. Digium's CentOS repo
provides built asterisk and kernels in many configurations as well as a
FreePBX installer, ie. you want IMAP voicemail, simply install the
package. FreePBX updates itself. Probably, the extras for polycom and
cisco will sit right happy on top of FreePBX. I am using aastra's this
way - the rpm's from aastra install straight away.
Probably important before any of this is to plan how it will fit into
the network!
