I just got pinged by a friend about a project.
There was a movie from 1982 called Joysticks. I personally never saw it,
but was pointed to a youtube clip:

In the later half there is a battle on a stage. The idea is to recreate
this stage, with operable joysticks that can take some abuse (tslot!) that
can run real boards or mames.
This would be unveiled at P.A.X. East, then go on to be used at Funspot.
Funspot in New Hampshire is the arcade mentioned in the documentary "King
of Kong."
If you watch the youtube clip, it's sort of obvious that the movie faked
the large screens using chromakey or something.
Our part would probably be the joysticks, and maybe some electronics
advice. In terms of the physical stage, more of a suggistive role. Maybe
some cad drawings and collaboration.
P.A.X. East isn't until next year.
