I know a few people have asked about this in regards to 757 Labs. Judging
by the posts I've seen on HacDC it sounds like it was a lot of work.

We are approved as a public charity! As one of the first "new wave"
hackerspaces, we should be quite proud to add to the precedent that amateur
engineering "spaces" like HacDC offer educational and societal benefits worthy
of this status.

I would like to thank everyone who helped in this process: Philip Stewart, Nick
Farr, William Gibb, Brian Redbeard, Tim Collins, and everyone else who offered
their documentation of activities or any other type of support. And, again,
special kudos to Philip Stewart who really bit the bullet a few weeks ago to
document -- exhaustively -- our classes and activities.

Cheers,
Todd

P.S.: The effective date of exemption is March 25, 2008.
