As of this evening, the laser engraver was lasering stuff with a usable
amount of quality. The next duty to be done with it is to build a stand,
enclose it, vent it outside, setup some access controls on the enclosure
so that an exaust fan has to be running before it will cut on, an "armed"
light, etc. The thought is to build a 2x4 stand for it that holds the
computer with it.

Much thanks to everyone who helped get it running so far. There is still
quite a bit of learning to do, as it uses gcode and there are some things
that have to be figured out when making files to send to it.

Still a few things to do before it's really ready for prime time use, and
my thoughts are we should do them immediately to avoid putting off needed
safety and environmental controls.

I've got a whole slew of stuff to post to the blog, perhaps later today.

Between the Art|EVerywhere stuff, the Redbull contest stuff, and other
things going on both weekends have been insane as far as the amounts of
activity going on!
