I guess we need to schedule up meetings.
* Members meeting
* ROV meeting
* UAV meeting
Also I'm working hard to get the A/V stuff built up to accomodate
multi-cam switching for recording video of presentations, to do rapid
turnaround of posting them online. I recorded video of the ruby group last
night, but they weren't interested in participating to record audio (even
though they were the first ones to request having the ability to record
presentations, go figure.)
I'm going to go after some equipment so that we can do a good job, mainly
some used cameras and magic boxes to make switching the video clean. Also
going to try to pick up a few shotgun mics and other used bits to test
audience talk. Live streaming should happen when a faster computer
trickles down.
Lab updates:
New furniture is in. Next step is to get rid of all the excess parts from
the cubes. I'm holding off on getting the robot arm and the inkjet color
plotter that are being offered until this stuff is gone, just so we don't
have to climb over stuff. I'm thinking the Skillcrane might find a new
home once the robot arm is running, it's run it's course and been fun. If
we want it back, can just throw the toys on the ground and let the big arm
pick them up. Hmm wonder how that'd work as a redemption toy machine, with
a smaller arm.
Presentations:
This probably belongs on the HRGeeks list, but I'd like to push to get
more presentations going. This includes putting them online (video clip)
on our blog and such, after it's been done.
HacDC and others have done lightning talks type of things. What would the
opinion be on doing something like that?
