It gets very hot and burns your hand..... Ask me how I know....
In honesty, when it comes to the mill, the first major thing that needs to
be decided is what is the general purpose? Do you want to mill plastic?
Thin metal? Or bust out some serious stuff out of billet? Also, what
amount of precision are we talking about?
I'd really like to start with something like the Sieg X3 and build a nice
heavy duty mill. THEN use that mill to greatly expand it. I have a
friend that CNC'd his X3 and then used that mill to build the parts to
basically double the X and Y axis' of it.
